Sports and tourer versions of the recently launch Bajaj Dominar 400 have been rendered. It is very likely that all future higher displacement models from the manufacturer will be placed under the brand, especially since they went out of their way to make a new one in the first place. Even Rajiv Bajaj hinted at the possibility of such spin-off variants at the launch ceremony of the Dominar.
Bajaj Dominar 400 Sport
We in India are familiar with Bajaj Pulsar 400SS which was showcased alongside the Pulsar CS400 (later Dominar) at the 2014 Auto Expo. However since the manufacturer has already made a bike based on the former’s design (200RS) it is unlikely that a similar looking higher displacement variant will be made. So we might see a Dominar 400SS/F instead.
As the above picture shows, Bajaj could go along with new front fairing, lowered clip-on handlebars and even a slightly more aggressive seating position for the sport variant. This will make it more of a sports tourer which should go well with the Indian customers.
Bajaj Dominar 400 Tourer
Since an adventure variant is virtually impossible the next best bet is a proper Tourer. While the existing Dominar 400 can pass of an adequate tourer, more features like front half fairing, longer windshield, rear carrier and longer travel suspension can propel it to a different level.
