Bajaj showcased two really interesting motorcycles at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, namely the Pulsar 400SS and the Pulsar 400CS, among which a smaller capacity version of the 400SS-The Pulsar 200 RS is already on sale in the country. The Pulsar 400SS (or rather the 200SS) was constantly in the news thanks to the constant spy spotting of the motorcycle at various parts of India since 2013, while the Cruiser Sport was never seen or reported, even though it was, if I dare say the more interesting one of the pair. Now it seems that Bajaj hasn’t really given up on the bike.
Recent reports states that Bajaj is working on a smaller capacity cruiser sport, quite possibly a 200cc one. If there is indeed such a move brewing, we are left wondering about the fate of the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. Removing the Pulsar 200NS would mean that they wouldn’t have a pulsar in every possible motorcycling segment in the country, as the 200CS would belong to a fresher cruiser sport segment. Bajaj could upgrade the 200NS but that would look too similar to the 200CS. In such a case, the only possible solution would be to take the former out of production and bring the latter in to the foray.
Further details are still sketchy and we will keep you updated if anything comes up.
