Bajaj Motorcycles India has a very big presence in the 200cc motorcycling segment, with 3 successful motorcycles- Bajaj AS 200, Bajaj NS 200 and Bajaj RS 200. All these bikes share a 199.5 cc single cylinder engine, producing above 20bhp. A comprehensive list of aftermarket exhaust options available for these bikes are few. Note: I’ve no first hand experience with most of these exhausts. The below information is obtained from autopromag’s readers, who have used them or directly from the makers of the custom exhausts.

It’s better you go for cheap custom exhaust system for your bike as most available free-flow options sound very similar. Most of the costly exhausts are intended for use on bigger bikes and is unnecessary and impractical for the Pulsars (or any low displacement bike). Nonetheless, I’ve included them on this article to prove this very point.

Help this article grow by sharing exhaust system you have used, in the comment section below.

None of the bigger performance houses like Akrapovic, Leo Vince and Yoshimura have official partnership with Bajaj. So exclusive exhausts, from the above brands are not available (If you got them cheap, they are surely duplicate). However if you are in the market, Pulsar’s 199.5cc engine resemble that of the Duke 200. Hence systems for the Duke 200 will be compatible with the RS 200 and others.

Akropovic exhausts are very costly aftermarket options. They come in different shapes, sizes, and are available for different displacement classes. They provide one of the best sounds for your bike.

A number of people have used Akrapovics on their Bajaj motorcycles (mostly abroad), and have cited slight increase in power. The titanium slip-ons are a very popular choice in the market.

Yoshimura exhausts are also a costly aftermarket option, but they sound and look great. They suffer from limited availability in the country and are not perfectly compatible with the Pulsars. Some dealers in Chennai, Bangalore and other major cities are selling Yoshimuras for as low as Rs. 10,000, which are most definitely fake.
