Honda CB150R ExMotion design & specs

Honda CB150R ExMotion

The Honda 150SS Racer is one of the more popular motorcycle concepts of 2017 and the designers have done a great job in mimicking atleast some of its design on to the production CB150R. The bike gets a single, LED headlamp set-up at the front and contrasting gold colour can be seen on the forks. Its sides are gorgeous and so is the rear. A Multi-function all-digital instrument console is also provided.

Read: Honda CB1000R could get a similar design.

The Honda CB150R ExMotion might look small in these pictures but it is actually in similar proportion (rather, bigger) to the Yamaha FZ. The bike is built on an Inner Pivot type diamond frame.

Specs are top notch and have been sourced from some of Honda’s bigger bikes. Suspension duties are done by 41 mm upside down front fork at front (identical to that of Honda X-ADV 750) and monoshock at rear. Stopping power comes from 296 mm front disc with radial mount 4-pot callipers and 220 mm disc at rear. The dual-channel ABS and G-sensor have been sourced from the CBR1000RR.

Honda CB150R ExMotion engine, transmission & ride dynamics

The new CB150R come powered by a ‘performance oriented’ 149cc DOHC 4-valve engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling. This EURO-6 compliant engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Japanese manufacturer says that they have made the bike’s centre of gravity as close to the rider as possible so as to improve stability and control.

Honda CB150R ExMotion variants, price & release date

Honda CB150R ExMotion India

Honda has plans to launch a number of motorcycles in India within the next two years, including sub-200cc models. There good chance the CB150r will make it to India but seeing the fate of the new CBR150R, we cannot make any assurances.
