CBR 150r is Honda’s entry level sports bike and the youngest of all the CBR’s .It was showcased at the 2012 autoshow .The resemblance to its elder brother the CBR 250r is quite visible , however the similarities end merely at the looks .

As said the CBR 150r looks very much like the CBR 250r . The styling is really beautiful and the bike is quite appealing . The particular bike we tested ‘DLX green’ is the best color for the CBR 150r (SURVEY) . The bike has a beautiful, The VFR1200 inspired Y shaped headlights & twin pilot light , which are surrounded by beautiful black finish .More stickering has been provided in the 150r. The bike obviously is smaller than the 250r and has a shorter, differently made exhaust .
The instrument console apart from the lack of silver finish ,is almost identical to the 250r . The digital display is very informative and at this segment Duke 200 only rivals it . The backlit is orange instead of blue of the CBR 250r . The only downside hee is that the all black finish feels quite boring and plain .
The switch gear is not impressive and seems to be lifted from the stunner . The CBR 150r also lacks an engine kill switch , unacceptable on a bike of its price and class .

Though the Engine specifications of the CBR 150r is good for a bike in the 150cc category as it features a DOHC high revving engine . The CBR 150r is a bike for the open roads not for the city . In the city you feel the a bike the want to push more and if there is heavy traffic it makes your life all the more difficult . But once you enter the highway the bike doesn’t seem to disappoint in any way. You continuously want to go the extra mile and push the bike to its limits . The bike goes from 0-100 in less than 12 seconds and doesn’t feel tired even at 130kmph .The 6 speed gearbox feels smooth and responsive . The provide a mileage of almost 40-45kmpl
HANDLING & BREAKING
The handling and breaking is really great and almost edges near the R15v2 in that term. One can easily change direction without any instability even at high speeds.the handlebars are placed perfectly , not too sporty though . The riding position is slightly angled but doesn’t give you any uncomfortably whatsoever .The high speed stability is excellent . Though the bike lacks ABS the Disc’s do perfect job in terms of Braking

Honda is planning new upgrade’s and new colour options to its CBR 150r in 2014 .One of the prominent change will be a new Repsol Edition CBR 150r .
