Hyundai Kona – In the News
Hyundai showcases Kona ‘Iron Man’ Edition: Hyundai has showcased a ‘not-for-production’ Iron man edition Kona at the Motorstudio in Goyang, South Korea. The car comes shod in matte grey paint with contrasting red elements, which gives it a very distint identity. There is special LED lights and ‘Arc reactor’ type headlamps to show its association with the Marvel Superhero.

Hyundai Kauai (Kona) 2018 Exterior
The Kauai (Kona) will adopt Hyundai’s latest design language, similar to the new i30 and the upcoming 2018 Elite i20. We were a bit skeptical about its design pre-launch, but have since taken a liking to its quirkiness. However, Hyundai could have avoided the extra cladding.
The Kauai’s front fascia is a butcher version of the new i30 and gets two-tier LED headlamps, larger, differently shaped ‘cascading’ grille and small foglamps. Rear takes inspiration from the Creta (ix25) and the i30.
Like its front, the taillights also follow a two element set-up. The reverse turn indicators and lights are placed just above the bumper, on a compartment extending from the wheel arch cladding.
Hyundai Kauai 2018 Interior
Interior gets an all-black colour scheme with contrasting stitching. There are lots of tech inside as well, including a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and 4D telematic. There’s console based wireless charging and a head-up display as well.
Apart from the regular bells and whistles, the new Kona gets features like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, lane-keeping assist system and a driver-attention warning system. Further accentuating safety is Radar-based blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
