Hyundai Tucson launch

Hyundai has launched their Tucson SUV in India for a price of Rs.18.99 lakhs. This is the third generation of the popular SUV and is priced between their Creta and Santa Fe. It was earlier showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, Delhi.

The car is available in 3 variants- 2WD MT, 2WD AT GL and 2WD AT GLS, the last one being limited to diesel only.

New Tucson Insia

Talking about its design, the new Tucson follows Hyundai’s fluidic design language and is great to look at. Its exterior shares many details with the Santa Fe and Creta. Inside the car, dual-tone black & beige colour scheme is adopted and lots of features have been provided.

Based on the variant, features like dual-barrel LED headlamps, 18-inch (/17 inch for MT) diamond-cut wheels, powered tailgate with height adjustment, 8.0-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-start assist control (HAC), Cruise control, Drive Mode Select, downhill brake control (DBC), brake assist, front parking sensors, 10-way power adjustable driver seat, and keyless entry and go are provided.

Hyundai Tucson 2017 Engine, Transmission, Mileage

Both Petrol and diesel engine options have been made available. The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder dual VTVT petrol is capable of producing 153bhp at 6,200 rpm and 192Nm at 4,000 rpm. The four-cylinder CRDi unit, on the other hand, delivers 182bhp at 4,000 rpm and 400Nm @ 1,750-2,750 rpm. All mills are mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Only 2WD is made available initially and an AWD will be coming next year.
