Mahindra is all set to launch a lower-spec Mojo in India. The bike titled ‘Mojo UT300’ was first seen in Pune last year. It was recently spied without any camouflage and reportedly, booking has begun at some dealerships in South India.

After gaining respectable sales across limited cities it was launched, the Mahindra Mojo could soon be available in a lower-spec, base variant. This model is expected to be sold throughout India.
The current model is placed in a very competitive segment and even with all it features, the Mojo is only returning modest sales. A lower priced variant, on the other hand, could be a complete game changer.
The new Mojo UT300 loses its signature twin exhaust set-up for a more conventional one. It comes with telescopic front suspension set-up instead of USD and premium gold colour has been completely replaced with black. Other changes include conventional headlights and single horn instead of twin.
Mahindra Mojo UT300 – Engine & Specs
The current Mahindra Mojo 295 cc single cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled, fuel injected mill producing 27 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The Mojo UT300 drops fuel injection for a pocket-friendly carburated set-up, which could reduce its power slightly. Spec-wise MRF Nylogrip tyres replace Pirelli Diablo Rosso II.

All these changes will help the UT300 to shave off atleast Rs. 30,000 from the standard model. This is in territory of the KTM Duke 200, and we should be in for good competition.
Since the bike has already begun to reach dealerships, its launch is definitely not far. We might see an official reveal prior to the Auto Expo, Delhi.
