Mahindra Mojo based BSA/ JAWA bike rendered.
While we were all hyped up about Mahindra’s acquisition of classic motorcycle brands like BSA and Jawa, Jakusa Design went ahead and made an absolutely gorgeous render of a Mojo based motorcycle with BSA badging. It showcases the designer’s expectations from the company and we are all for it.
When compared to Mahindra Mojo, the rendered motorcycle gets different headlight, handlebar, fuel tank and seat. In fact it looks slightly like the Mojo Scrambler 300 that was showcased at this year’s Auto Expo.
Mahindra – Jawa – BSA full report
Mahindra’s acquisition of British classic motorcycle brand- BSA has paved way for the revival of another iconic brand, ‘Jawa’. Bikes with both badging will be made available by 2019, the ‘Jawa’ name possibly limited to India and other Asian countries.
Speaking on this development, Dr Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra said,
“We are very excited about the new journey that we are embarking upon in the two wheeler space. Our focus on the premium, niche segment through Classic Legends will bring alive some iconic brands like BSA and JAWA, not just in the form of products but as an entire life style”
Many reports claim that Mahindra badging will not be seen on the bikes instead they will be entirely Jawa or BSA, having their on dealership network. The cult following that these bikes have in India and abroad will help to build up a lifestyle brand, hopefully providing healthy competition to Royal Enfield.
The bikes will be manufactured at Mahindra’s facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and will be badged according to the market. BSA bikes will be sold predominantly in American and European markets.
