Honda revealed their new CB300R at the recently concluded EICMA show Milan. The bike looks similar to the new CB1000R Neo Cafe and adopts a retro design language. We feel that it would be a perfect addition to India’s growing performance streetfighter segment, especially since bikes such as the KTM Duke 390 and upcoming BMW G310R are amassing quite a fan following. Local manufactures like Bajaj already has the Dominar 400 in the price segment and Hero could follow with the XF3R.

Honda motorcycles have already confirmed that they will bring new and exciting products to India next year. While the much awaited, latest version of the CB150R is widely reported to be one among them, the possibility of bigger bikes such as the CB300R and Rebel 300 cannot be completely ruled out either.
The Honda CB300R will make a perfect candidate for India. The new model isn’t as modestly-designed as its outgoing version. Its modern-retro design is unlike anything currently in the segment and could gain the fancy of many. The uncanny resemblance to the CB1000R will help its cause.
Power for the CB300R comes from a single cylinder DOHC mill producing 31 PS of power and 27.5 Nm of torque. This is in vicinity of bikes such as the KTM Duke 250, BMW G310R and Dominar 400, but much lower than the Duke 390.
Honda CB300R India price, launch date
It’s difficult to pinpoint what Honda’s ‘exciting’ 2018 motorcycle portfolio will look like but hopefully, the CB300R will have a place in it. With the new CBR150R and CBR300R taking forever to launch, its hard to give any assurance though.
