The Kawasaki KLX250 2018 has been revealed in the U.S. The manufacturer is targeting customers who are looking for a less expensive, dual purpose motorcycle, which is adequately capable off the road. The bike is available in two variants- Standard and Camo.

The new KLX250 looks very much like a proper off-roader and gets features like single headlamp, raised mudguard, long-travel suspension (255 mm travel at front, 230 mm at rear), spoke wheels, chunky rear wheels, upswept exhaust and more. There are also KX-inspired bodywork, fork protectors and two-piece radiator shroud. Its instrument console is fully-digital.
Suspension duties are carried out by 43 mm inverted cartridge-style fork at front while its rear gets a gas-charged Uni-Trak monoshock. A 250 mm front and 240 mm rear discs respectively provide stopping power to the motorcycle’s 21 inch front and 18 inch rear wheels. Its dual high-capacity Denso radiators are lighter in weight and is claimed to offer better cooling efficiency

The Kawasaki KLX250 is powered by a 249cc single cylinder liquid-cooled, Fi, DOHC engine. The manufacturer claims that the updated fuel injection system has improved fuel efficiency and performance. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Its output and performance figures have not been revealed yet.

The new KLX250 will go on sale on October 2017. The standard variant costs $5349 while the camo variant commands a premium of $200.
