Production Hero XF3R patented for India

New XF3R

Hero has finally submitted the design of the production XF3R for patenting and its image has been released online. The bike was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo along with the Xtreme 200S and the long overdue HX250.

Design wise not much seems to have changed and the bike retains similar panels and headlamp set-up. It does slightly resemble some of Suzuki’s bikes but the manufacturer would want it to be seen as an evolution of their Xtreme series

The XF3R concept had features like USD front forks, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres, large twin port exhaust beneath the pillion, single-sided monoshock and swingarm, a fully-digital instrument panel and LED tail lamps. Good news is that most of these features will be adopted on the production mode.

Overall the bike in its concept form, though a bit flashy was well-rounded. Its production version is expected to be just as good or hopefully even better.

2017 XF3R production

We have no clue when the Hero XF3R will launch in India but it is unlikely that it will share fate with the HX250. Also its price should be very competitive, near the Rs. 1.6 lakh range.
