Fuel injected variant of Suzuki Gixxer SF has been launched in India ahead of this festive season.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF Fi is priced Rs. 4,600 more than its carburated variant at Rs 93,499 (Ex-showroom Delhi). It will not be available throughout India, sales being limited to cities like Delhi, Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
Powering the bike is the same 154.9 cc single cylinder SOHC engine producing 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. These figures are identical to the existing model. Transmission is done by a 5-speed unit.
Fuel injection is claimed to have improved Fuel economy, throttle response and ease of starting up.
According to Suzuki
The Gixxer SF now comes with Fuel Injection Technology which uses 6 sensors to calculate the optimum amount of fuel to be injected for better combustion efficiency which improves fuel efficiency and gives you accurate throttle response at all rpm without compromising on performance.
The Gixxer SF fuel injected will only be available in Suzuki’s ‘blue’ Moto-GP edition. A noticeable absence is the Kick start, meaning there is only electric start option available for this variant.
