Tata Motors has confirmed that they will call their upcoming H5X based SUV as the ‘Tata Harrier’. We have discussed a lot about this car since its concept debuted at the 2018 Auto Expo but apart from three new teaser images, nothing more has come out yet. However, it is still one of the hotly anticipated launches of 2018 so we can’t keep quite either!
Tata Harrier’s price in India
The Tata Harrier is likely to be priced starting from Rs. 12.5 lakhs which would make it their costliest offering. If you are still not sure about a Tata costing 12 lakhs, this one sits on a derivative of Land Rover’s LR550 platform called ‘Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced (OMEGA)’ and is likely to have a number of off-road and terrain sensitive features. Interior will be top notch with loads of features and design, well, have you seen the H5X concept? Overall, this is one hell of an SUV that Tata has build and I just can’t wait for it to finally hit the roads!
Competition: The Harrier is likely to compete with the Jeep Compass even though it placed in a lower price bracket. Other cars in its vicinity include the Mahindra XUV500 and Hyundai Creta.
How good does it look?
Very! Tata said that they will retain 80% of the H5X in the concept and that does seem to be true. The SUV is built on the manufacturer’s Impact Design 2.0 and we will see the best version of it on this new model.
