The TVS Apache RTR 160 will finally get a facelift soon and the bike has been spied in production form. A video released by YouTuber ‘The Gearhead Bureau’ shows the un-badged bike testing near Bengaluru.
Here are more details:
|Launch in India||Q3, 2017|
TVS Apache RTR 160 facelift design
The RTR 200 4V is already a good looking machine and is enjoying quite a bit of success, so it’s only natural that ageing Apache models will be shifted to the new design. The spotted bike gets new, slimmer front fascia, redesigned fuel tank, twin-port exhaust, monoshock setup and new tail design. It seems that a new digital instrument console, similar to that on Apache 200, will also be available.
TVS Apache RTR 160 facelift engine, specification
The new Apache RTR 160 continues to get an air-cooled engine, most likely retaining the 159.7 cc mill coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, present on the exisitng model. The current bike produces 15.2 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 13.1 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm, but it could be tuned higher.
The model spotted gets drum brakes at the rear with disc brake expected as an option.
TVS Apache RTR 160 facelift price and launch in India
The Apache RTR 160 facelift looks production-worthy and could be launched soon. It won’t be long before people start talking and we get clear confirmation on its launch but for now, the festive season is as good a guess as any.
It will be priced slightly higher than the Rs. 76,575/- starting price of the current model.
