TVS Motors will launch an all-new scooter in India on February 5, 2018. It is based on the manufacturer’s Graphite concept which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, Delhi. As per reports, this performance scooter might be called TVS Ntorq 125.
In case you forgot, TVS had a maxi-scooter concept by the name of Entorq 210 at the same Expo. However, we haven’t heard much about its development and is likely that plans for such a model has been dropped.
This is TVS’s second performance model in quick succession. The hosur-based manufacturer blew our mind with their gorgeous and powerful Apache RR 310S last year.
TVS Ntorq 125 – Graphite based ‘power’ scooter
Design wise, the TVS Ntorq looks like a smoothed-out version of the Graphite concept and isn’t as edgy. Like the concept, it gets a large apron, first-in-segment digital instrument console, and a gradually rising pillion. Its sporty handlebar cowl gets integrated indicators. In addition, headlamp with LED DRLs and a sporty exhaust have been provided to be within production-regulations. Its taillight has a distinct design as well.
Other features include external fuel filler cap, engine kill switch, aluminium foot pegs and sporty grab rails. Reportedly, the instrument console comes with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
The TVS Ntorq 125 could come powered by the Graphite’s 11.5 bhp producing 125cc engine. It will be mated to a CVT gearbox.
