The 2019 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 has been officially revealed and it will go on sale next year. Though familiar, we are impressed by its design and hopefully, the top-of-the-line 1200cc mill and fresh dynamics will make it a fun offering as well.
The motorcycle will reach North American markets in February 2019 and bookings will begin shortly.
2019 Triumph Speed Twin Equipment and Specs
The new Speed Twin is powered by a 1,200cc, 8-valve, 270° crankshaft parallel-Twin big bore mill, same as the one on the biggest Thruxton, Scrambler, and Bonneville. It is capable of producing 96 horsepower and 83 lb-ft of torque, and comes with three ride modes- Sport, Road and Rain.
The motorcycle also gets a few upgrades in the form of revised clutch assembly, and magnesium engine and cam covers. The whole block is thus lighter and aids in providing an agile dynamic. However, its selling point will rest in a comfortable and relaxed ride.
The 2019 Speed Twin gets breaking power from a set of Brembos at rear and Nissin at back, while Kayabas take care of suspension.
