Let me get this straight, I am not a big fan of Audi’s E-Tron SUV. Neither did I really care about spy pictures of its coupe variant. To me, It felt like something Audi ‘had’ to bring and not something they wanted to. This is why their E-Tron Sportback was such a big surprise for me!
There is something about Audi’s recent Sportsbacks that keep me raving. I was impressed with the 2019 A7 Sportback and that feeling has continued on to the E-Tron Sportback. This one just feels like a much better addition to the Market!
Why is the E-Tron Sportback better?
While SUV Coupes seemed a bad idea on paper, they have been performing really well across the world. The E-Tron SUV had a rough few initials years but its sales have picked up too. However, to compete with the likes of Tesla, Audi needs an electric car with a bit more flare. This is where the Sportback and the GT come in! They might even trust the former more, as sedan sales have been dismal in the past few quarters.
Performance and range

|Expected EPA Range||215 miles|
How much will the Audi E-Tron Sportback cost in USA?
Prices of the Audi E-Tron SUV start at $74,800 and its Sportback would command a few thousands more. Nothing official has come out yet.
The base Quattro 50 model is priced starting from €71,350 in Germany.
|Quattro 50 price||$77,890|
|Quattro 55 price||$88,000|
Will Audi push back the E-Tron Sportback’s release date?
Audi might not release the Quattro Sportback this summer. This is because the COVID-19 pandemic is keeping most of their prime markets -including California- under high alert. We are expecting delays of up to two months!
We can only hope that the situation gets better in the coming few weeks.
