Ford has finally confirmed that they are working on a new Bronco but if you were expecting a 2017 or 2018 model, you are in for disappointment. As confirmed by the manufacturer, we will only see the new Ford Bronco in the year 2020 (as a 2021 model), which is a long way from now.
Here are some of its expected details:
|Launch date in U.S||2020|
|Engine options||Petrol, Hybrid|
|Max Mileage||18-25 MPG|
New Ford Bronco Exterior and Interior
Update 07/22/17: Ford is heard to have already rejected two designs for the upcoming Bronco, one for being too similar to jeep Wrangler. However, now they may have finally zeroed in on a design which is similar to the Troller T4 available in Brazil. The SUV will only be available in 4-door configuration.
Early reports: No details of the new Bronco were revealed at the Detroit show so we are still in the dark. Some sources have claimed that the car will have typical modern SUV styling and will closely resemble the Ford Everest/Endeavour available in some foreign markets. It will also be a strictly 4–door 4×4 SUV. Of course this may not be true and Ford could take inspiration from earlier Bronco concepts as well.
By 2020 there will be even more tech available in our cars. Although we cannot predict exactly what they might be, driving experience is sure to be more interactive. Good cabin and luggage space, and more premium materials can be expected as well.
New Ford Bronco engine, performance, specs
No details on the performance in available yet but Ford has confirmed that autonomous driving and hybrid technology will be one of their main priorities by 2021. Both the F-150 and Mustang will receive hybrid powertrains by then and the Bronco could get one as well. Big V8 oil burners could be withdrawn from the line-up.
