Yamaha R15 V3 vs new Honda CBR150R vs Suzuki GSX R150

R15 vs CBR vs GSX front

Yamaha unveiling the YZF-R15 V3 in Indonesia has paved way for a very intense 3 way battle between it, the new Honda CBR150R and Suzuki’s recently unveiled GSX-R150. We hope to see a similar line-up in India within the next 2 years even though any real confirmation on their launch isn’t available yet.

As always we will look in to their design, engine, performance and features, and will provide an individual and combined verdict.

Yamaha vs Honda vs Suzuki 150

It seems that purely based on design you can’t go wrong with either one of these bike. All three adopt designs inspired from their respective bigger siblings and looks great. However if we had to choose the best, it would be Honda’s CBR150R.

Unlike its previous generation, the Honda CBR150r looks at CBRs (instead of VFRs) for its design. The bike is sharp and aggressive, yet simple enough not to be overcooked. Its sides and rear are menacing as well, and looks as though it is in the middleweight class. Certain features like the LED indicators provide a premium feel and are not seen on the other two bikes in this list.

The Yamaha R15 V3 comes a close second for us and last place goes to the Suzuki GSX-R150. They could be placed higher on the list depending on individual preference.

Our choice- Honda CBR150R

R15 vs CBR 150 vs GSX 150

This is where the new R15 V3 really shines and its features are superior to both the CBR and GSX.

Both Honda and Suzuki goes with a more conventional set-up of front telescopic forks, front and rear disc brake, 17” tyre etc, but Yamaha takes them up  a notch and even provides USD front forks and slipper clutch.

All bikes get digital instrument cluster but gives a skip to ABS.
